Decided with all the wet weather it was time to get the spuds out of the ground before the slugs munch them all.
Ended up with about 40kg of Desiree and Charlotte
The Shallots were wanting to come out, so they have. There are about 150 strung in the garage. Lots of empty spaces now
Popped to the plot today to pick the last of the peas and mange tout and noticed all the onions had keeled over. So time to pull them up. The car boot was packed full and time to string and hang in the garage. Some beetroot and purple top turnip pulled up as well. Globe Artichokes are coming along nicely..
Only the second time we have grown cauliflowers and the 1st was a total disaster, but this time armed with fleece to cover them, we have some lovely white caulis. Harvested today with 2 Cauliflowers we have loads and loads of broccoli, a few small courgettes, a punnet of mange tout, a few charlotte potatoes and 40 from 80 garlic.
Should have been 80 garlic, but the other 40 had rotted!!!!
Included is a quick picture update of tomatoes and chillies at home.

Happy Birthday ‘Fishy’ !! ( North Yorkshire) in this one we found 12 Days of Caching 2007 Geocoin
One of the cats caught a mole, not sure which cat but I can take a good guess it was Dexter. After about 15 mins of hunting, we managed to catch it. He was trying to do his own version of “The Great Escape” but there is no way I wanted a mole loose in the garden.
